What is the CAN-bus?
To reduce the car wire harness and thus to save weight, the CAN-bus was introduced. It supplies the electronic control units with informations.
Some cars are equipped with a engine-CAN or a gearbox CAN, though without a comfort-CAN including informations about the door contacts or the remote control.
